Opportunity:
Servient is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our growing team in Pune, India. This is a very exciting opportunity for a JAVA developer to get involved in the latest technologies in Big Data (Hadoop, HBASE, SOLR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate functional requirements and conceptual designs into detailed designs for new features
- Provide estimates for development effort
- Implement proof of concept, prototypes and production-grade software
- Develop software adhering to best coding practices
- Assist QA in troubleshooting software issues as well as implementing bug fixes
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience with J2EE, JAVA, Struts, Hibernate, EJB, XML, JSP preferably in a LINUX environment
- Desirable Technology Experiences include AJAX, Hadoop, Solr, HBase
- Experience in Agile / SCRUM development methodology
Skills Required:
- JSP, Servlets, Hibernate or EJB3, and Struts
- Desirable Technology Experiences: AJAX
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science
- Experience Level: 2-3 years
Skills Required:
- Database tuning and optimization
- Must have experience in handling large database (Millions of records database)
- Good knowledge of PL/SQL, strong in Stored Procedures and Functions
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science
- Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL Administration and Development
Skills Required:
- Hadoop, Mahout, Hbase (or related NoSQL, distributed database), Appistry
- Strong background in information retrieval, machine learning, classification algorithms, search algorithms, clustered processing of large data sets
- Academic Qualifications: Background in Computer Science a must. MTech from IIT preferred
- Experience Level: 5+ years
